Biofertiliser Rates & Methods

SONIC Biofertilisers are biologically activated, liquid concentrate products, requiring dilution.  Best used fresh, Biofertiliser can be applied to seeds, as an inoculant, and to soil and foliage by watering can, spray pack, fertigation, mister, boom spray, aerial applications, and trickle irrigation systems.

SONIC Natural Farming

Biological Fertiliser Uses

Seed Treatment: Use Biofertiliser when direct seeding, as a seed treatment (inoculant), and as a pre-soak prior to transplanting seedlings, to minimise transplant shock.  Apply to moist soil before seeding and plant seeds within 48 hrs from the time of inoculation.

Foliar Spray: Apply Biofertiliser periodically as a foliar spray or soil drench, throughout the growing cycle.  Liquid Biofertilisers benefit early growth, producing strong root systems, and are highly effective on advanced crops, orchards, vineyards and pasture.

Soil Drench:  Use Biofertiliser as a soil drench to increase the population and diversity of beneficial soil microorganisms, for better soil structure, water-holding capacity, and nutrient cycling.

Timing

The best time to apply Biological Fertiliser is during periods of rain, overcast skies, wet conditions, or in the evening to harness the night ground moisture.
Avoid spraying in full sun when temperatures are over 27℃.

Biological Fertiliser Spray Methods

Spraying, Irrigating, Seeding

Liquid Biofertiliser offers a convenient and versatile solution for delivering readily available nutrients for plant uptake.  By being in a liquid solution, these products are ready to dilute and apply directly through irrigation systems or as a spray application.

MIXING
Fill spray tank or mixing container with water, before adding Biofertiliser, to reduce foam buildup.  Use within 48 hours of dilution.

SPRAY EQUIPMENT
Use larger nozzle and screen sizes, or even no screen.  Ideal spray pressure for biological fertiliser is below 55 psi.  Rinse tanks and flush lines directly after use to avoid any buildup of residue.

Liquid Fish Hydrolysate stimulates microbial and fungal activity providing optimum plant & soil health benefits.  Use as a foliar spray or soil drench.

Suggested Rates:

General: 30-100ml per average 10L watering can

Seed Inoculant: 1L per 180kg seed
Seedlings: 30-60ml per 10L water
